Meet Mary Keever

Mary started Intention Path Counseling and Intention Path Services after 8 years at Cornerstone Health Care/Wake Forest Baptist Health. Before this, her tough experiences as a child and young adult sparked an interest in human thought and behavior, leading to a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2005.

After a few years working with children and new mothers, she knew she needed to pursue social work. She completed the JMSW Program through UNC-Greensboro and NC A&T University in May of 2011, earning an MSW. In February 2013 as an LCSW-A, she started as a behavioral health care manager at Cornerstone Care Outreach Clinic, an internal medicine practice for Medicare and Medicaid patients in High Point. She spent the next 4 years working closely with primary care providers and psychiatrists using the IMPACT model to guide this integrated care initiative. This is where she completed the requirements to obtain her clinical license (changing her credential to LCSW). When the clinic closed in April 2017, she continued this work and some traditional, medical social work with patients with severe, chronic illness within the Personalized Life Care Clinic.

In January 2018, she began a new integrated care model within family and internal medicine practices, in High Point, Archdale and Asheboro, which included Medicare Wellness Visits and mental health care.

To enhance the care that she was providing, she completed the Health Coach Training Program through UNC-Greensboro’s Department of Public Health Education in October 2019.  When our lives changed in March 2020, she began pursuing health coach certification and became a Certified Health Coach (CHC) in July 2021.  In September 2021, she decided to make her own way here, where have you have found her, at Intention Path Counseling and Intention Path Services.
